To Make a Long Story Short - How Mary got interested in Family History

Mary was married shortly before she turned 20 years old. She married a military man (Gord) and within a year, they started moving around Canada. In 1966, they were transferred to Edmonton, Alberta, where Mary's grandmother, Gwen's family had settled in the very early 1900s. At her grandmother's urging, Mary got to know her distant relatives and their stories. A few years later, in 1974, Mary and Gord were transferred to Labrador. In a remarkable coincidence, it was the very same place where Gwen's family had first lived when they left Nova Scotia. This got Mary to wondering what other paths we had crossed in our travels and she started researching in ernest.
